The Vision: A Community facility, run by local people to benefit local people
In a vote at the end of a Public Meeting on 28 November 2025, attendees gave a virtually unanimous answer:
Do we want The King William to be a thriving Community Hub/Pub? YES!!!
You can download the presentation that had been made by the King William Working Group that evening, so you can see the results of its research.
A Management Committee will now be formed to move the plan forward, with much to do ahead of a proposed re-opening of The King William in May 2026.

Join the Management Committee
Volunteer to help with preparation of the building for re-opening
Volunteer to support the Pub Managers once it has opened
Offer to contribute to the Working Capital needed to re-open
