King William Inn, Catcott
Following an extensive consultation process, the people of Catcott and the Polden Hills gave a unanimously positive answer to the question: Do we want The King William to be a thriving Community Pub/Hub? Yes!
A Management Committee was formed to move the plan forward, with much to do ahead of a proposed re-opening of The King William this summer under a Community Lease as part of a Community Benefit Society.
What can you do to help?
Working in tandem with Palmers, the brewery that owns the pub, the success of this initiative will rely on people from all around The Polden Hills contributing, in whatever way they can, to the effort to get the pub re-opened and then to support it once it's running.
You may want to wield a paintbrush, or help the cleaning effort. Perhaps do a shift behind the bar or help tend the garden! All of these things and more are essentials to making The King William the Community Hub/Pub that it can be.
You can email us at IWouldLikeToHelp@KingWilliamCatcott.org to:
Volunteer to help with preparation of the building for re-opening
Volunteer to support the Management Team once it is open
Offer to contribute to the working capital needed to re-open
We'd love to hear from you! Thank you!
